Dr. Sturrup is a native of Nassau, Bahamas. After emigrating to America, his formative years were spent in Florida and New York. He attended Fisk University and received his undergraduate degree in mathematics. His Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree was obtained from Howard University School of Dentistry. After Dental School, he entered the United States Air Force. Dr. Sturrup was a Major in the U.S. Air Force and served with distinction in Vietnam. After separating from the Air Force, Dr. Sturrup attended Indiana-Purdue University School of Dentistry and received his masters of Science degree in Orthodontics. Dr. Sturrup is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southwest Orthodontic Society, American Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association. Dr. Sturrup is married to wife, Juanita and is the father of four adult children; Susan, Linda, Denise and Randolph Jr. He enjoys reading and is an accomplished poet and pilot. |
